Ingredients
CAKE:
2 cups flour
2 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup butter
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 egg
1/2 cup milk
2 cups fresh or frozen berries, thawed and drained (Whatever kind of berries you want. I used a mix.)
TOPPING:
1/2 cup flour
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 cup cold butter
Directions
1) Grease a 9x9 inch or 8x8 inch baking pan; set aside. In a medium bowl combine the 2 cups flour, baking powder, cinnamon and salt; set aside.
2) In a medium bowl beat butter on medium speed for 30 seconds or until soft. Add the 3/4 cup sugar and vanilla and beat on medium-high until light and fluffy. Add egg, beat well.3) Add flour mixture and milk alternately to wet mixture, beating until smooth after each addition. Spoon batter into prepared pan. Sprinkle with berries. (OR pour half the batter into prepared pan; sprinkle with berries, and pour remaining batter on top.)
4) In another bowl combine the topping ingredients. Using a pastry blender, cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs; sprinkle over berries. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 45-55 minutes. Enjoy!
