Peanut Butter Cookie Bars with Peanut Butter Glaze

These cookie bars are very, very good. The only way they survived a full 24-hours in our apartment was through sheer will power, but believe me, they didn't last much longer than that.

Serves 24

Ingredients
COOKIE BARS:
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar (or whatever you can find in BiH)
1/2 heaping cup creamy peanut butter
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup quick-cooking oats
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 heaping cup semisweet chocolate chips (or chunks of chocolate made "for baking or eating")

GLAZE:
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
2 tablespoons milk

Directions
1) In a large bowl, cream the butter, sugars and peanut butter until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla.
2) Combine the flour, oats, baking soda and salt; gradually stir into creamed mixture and mix well. Add chocolate chips and mix until just incorporated. Spread into a greased 13x9 baking pan.
3) Bake at 350° for 25-30 minutes or until golden browned. Cool on a wire rack for 20 minutes or until cool to the touch.
4) In a small bowl, combine glaze ingredients; spread evenly over cookie bars. Cut and serve. Enjoy!
